Electronic Countermeasures

This is an old game that has become very sophisticated. For example, let's just say your the president of a large corporation. A paid electronic expert has been hired by a competitor to infiltrate your company. With prior information, the caller knows the name of the presidents young son.

The secretary answers the call because she screens all calls.

"Mr. Johnson's office."

"I need to talk to the president, it's very important."

"Sir, he's busy now, please leave your name and number so he might call you back."

"Look, this is about his son."

"What do you mean, is something wrong?

"It's confidential please."

"Hello this is the president, how can I help?"

"I need to talk to you about your son Ronald."

"Sir, I don't have a son by the name of Ronald."

"I'm sorry sir, I have the wrong number."

He hangs up. And when he does, the presidents telephone immediately becomes a microphone and every word spoken in the office can be listened to and recorded by the caller for as long as he wants, even days.
